Balkondes
Balkondes is a program initiated by the Ministry of State-Owned Enterprises (SOEs), targeting villages with various potentials to improve their local economies.
The purpose of Balkondes is to create tourism business opportunities through the development of homestays, extend the length of stay for tourists by introducing new cultural performances in each village, increase the economic income of village communities, and create job opportunities for local residents.
Bank Mandiri has the opportunity to enhance the local economy through the development of Balkondes in Kenalan Village, Borobudur, Magelang. Located on the slopes of the Menoreh Mountains, Kenalan Village boasts beautiful natural attractions, such as Gondopurowangi Hill and the 17 Waterfall, which flows through the rocks of the Menoreh Mountains. In addition to its stunning natural attractions, Kenalan Village is also renowned for its unique local delicacies, such as slondok Jawa and slondok krepus, which are made from cassava.
