Definition

Wirausaha Muda Mandiri* (WMM) is one of Bank Mandiri's most prominent CSR programs. Established in 2007, it aims to support the government in fostering and advancing entrepreneurship in Indonesia, particularly among the younger generation. Entrepreneurship plays a crucial role in a nation’s economy and serves as one of the key indicators of a country’s economic progress.

Carrying the tagline Inspire, Innovate, Impact, the WMM program aims to consistently produce young entrepreneurs who possess the ability to find effective solutions to challenges while adapting to changes and new situations. In its 2024 implementation, the WMM program registered over 3,000 participants in the Business Existing category.

This program is expected to support the “young entrepreneurs” with a strong entrepreneurial spirit, enabling them to further develop their businesses, gain access to business networks, and acquire the knowledge and skills necessary to succeed in the business world.

Objective

The primary objective is to create a community of young entrepreneurs who actively collaborate in Bank Mandiri and government programs, becoming role models for Indonesia's younger generation aspiring to enter the entrepreneurial world. This objective reflects Bank Mandiri's commitment to the priority goals of the SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals), specifically Goal 8 "Decent Work and Economic Growth," and Goal 10 "Reduced Inequalities".
