- Prepare a valid Passport with a minimum validity of 6 months before the expiration date.
- For Indonesian citizens abroad, the Indonesian Overseas Community Card (KMILN) is required.
- For foreigners residing in Indonesia, a valid ITAS/ITAP/Golden Visa is required.

How do I open a Bank Mandiri savings account for Indonesian citizens? (Indonesian citizens with a Passport + KMILN)?
- Open the Livin' by Mandiri application that you have downloaded, select "Don't Have a Mandiri Account Yet."
- Choose the desired debit card type (specifically, Indonesian citizens abroad will receive a virtual card).
- Read and agree to the Terms and Conditions.
- Choose Registration with Passport.
- Prepare the Passport and supporting documents for Indonesian citizens.
- Take/Upload a Passport Photo.
- Enter the Passport data as stated in the document.
- Upload Complete Documents for Indonesian Citizens
- Enter your phone number with the appropriate country code to receive SMS containing the OTP code
- Enter your email address and check the OTP code sent for verification
- Create a Password and Livin’ by Mandiri PIN
- Select the purpose of opening the account
- Fill in the residential address and current employment data
- Agree to the Statement of Fund Ownership
- Choose the Tax Declaration for Taxpayers Outside Indonesia
- Choose the physical card delivery address (if selecting a card)
- Perform face verification, ensure you are in a well-lit room
- Your new account has been successfully created

For Indonesian citizens living abroad who want to open an account using a Passport, a KMILN is required. If you do not have a KMILN, you can register for one on the Ministry of Foreign Affairs official website.

After you open a new account in Livin’ by Mandiri, you can then open a Foreign Currency account as an additional savings account in the Savings section.
